Stayman - a popular bidding convention when partner opens NT
You will be asked if you want to save this file. Windows and Mac PCs ask different questions so be prepared to accept the file name and the default location for files downloaded from the internet when asked. Each hand in this file was generated with the intent of practicing the Stayman convention. Some hands will end up in a suit contract and some in notrump. Each file contains 64 hands and, if you are addicted to this fine game like we are, that many hands should keep you busy for a few hours with discussion. These hands are set up for you to sit in South as this orientation is most pleasing to the eyes and rotation clockwise around the table.
Stayman is introduced to most players very early in their bridge career. When you bring these files into BBO, you would be wise to put each set of 64 boards in a separate folder. If you put them all in the same folder, every time you use that folder you will get the same hands in the same order. This way you can add some variety to your bidding practice by using a different folder each time.
